Black Fly Affair Tournament Recap with Tommy Maynard
The Black Fly Affair, in its first year, has already set itself apart in the tournament scene. Aside from the phenomenal weigh-in, the concept of the tournament is unique. Anglers get three black flies and that’s it. The bag includes 2 redfish, 1 black drum, and 1 sheepshead, which can really test the mettle of any angler who desires to fish in the tournament. The tournament was more than just a good time, though; it donates all proceeds to the Galveston Bay Foundation for oyster restoration in Jones Bay, improving the same waters many of us fish during and outside of the tournament.
